Biography 

 A California licensed professional fiduciary whose services include acting as conservator, trustee, or personal estate representative, including trusts and estate administration and as a guardian. Fluent in Spanish and English.  

Served as Executive Director of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for 23 years, as well as Area Director for California, Nevada, Oregon and Texas.

 Volunteer Leadership Experiences

AARP Volunteer Area Leader for Los Angeles County (2005-present)
Provide Leadership to create change in AARP social impact goals such as; healthcare reform, economic security, and legislative advocacy.

Chairman and Commissioner for the City of Pasadena Senior Commission (2006-2011)
Reviewed and advised the City of Pasadena on senior needs; access to health services, housing, transportation, and other needs.

Member of the Board of the Pasadena Senior Center (2010-2016)
Chairman of the Development Committee, Events Committee,served on Executive Committee and Chairman of the Annual Conference on Healthy Aging.  

Chairman of the Annual Pasadena Conference on Healthy Aging (2008-2018)
Provided leadership in recruiting keynote speakers and workshop speakers related to healthcare, aging, and other community resources for over a 1000 attendees. Provided leadership in conference planning and raising sponsorship funds. The conference is a project of the Pasadena Senior Center with the support of Kaiser Permanente, AARP California, and community sponsors.

President of the Board of Directors for Southern California Rehabilitation Services (2004-2007)
The organization provides services to disabled clients of all ages in developing; daily independent living skills, employment, technology, and providing peer support.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman at Wise & Healthy Aging (2004-2007)
Investigated complaints and advocated for seniors in long term care residential facilities and nursing homes to insure that their rights were protected.
